  • Every 60 seconds an animal is suffering from abuse

Cat Abuse

  • Cat hoarding, neglect, injuries, illnesses, and repeated pregnancies are all signs of cat abuse

 

  • Look for signs of hoarding, dirty living areas, lack of cleanliness, reluctant to receive visitors, act secretively, usually easy to spot cats in the window

  • Cats don't have basic needs met, living in small places, aggressive, not having enough water, deprived of companionship or forced to live in a very noisy environment (with loud shouting, loud music, etc..), no litter box or access to outside when owner is away

  • Patchy fur, poor skin, paw condition, flea infection, overgrown nails

  • Untreated wounds or a lot of wound scars

  • Signs of rabbit abuse

  • Tucked tale, flinches at human contact

  • Fish are one of the most abused animals on the planet

 

  • Exotic animal owners tend to try and change the animals nature, instead of the nature of their care

 

  • Being confined in small, barren enclosures, painful mutilations such as declawing and tooth removal is animal abuse

 

  • Birds kept on display, limited interaction, an environment not suited for natural behavior, even yelling at birds is animal abuse
